Dear SCI Supporter,
You are cordially invited to attend one of Lubbock’s premier social events, the 2010 Lubbock Chapter of Safari Club International Banquet, presented by Peoples Bank.
Once a year, the Lubbock SCI Chapter comes together for an evening of fine food, fellowship and a chance to bid on exceptional live and silent auction items. This year we are very excited to have as our special guest, acclaimed author and hunter Craig T. Boddington.
The evening will begin at 5 P.M. on March 6 in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall. A fabulous meal is being prepared and served by the Lubbock Chef’s Association. The program will begin with Craig Boddington sharing his thoughts about the importance of SCI, and some of his exciting hunting adventures. This will be followed by our live auction of fabulous items such as: an African Photo Safari; a whitewater rafting adventure on Idaho’s Salmon River; hunts for New Zealand Red Stag, Water Buffalo in Argentina, Texas Aoudad and whitetail deer; and many more exciting hunts from here to Africa. The silent auction will feature dozens of great items including jewelry, art, firearms, hunting accessories and “fun stuff.” There will also be raffles for a plasma TV, a gun safe, the “Wall of Guns” and much more.
All tickets are $100; reserved tables for eight are $1000. Tickets are sold only in advance; and only 400 tickets are available. To purchase your tickets, please call or go by the office of Ron Sawall at Weiss & Associates. The telephone number is 806-787-5459 and the office address is 2222 Indiana Ave. Ticket orders may also be placed by e-mail at lubbocksafariclub@hotmail.com. The deadline for ticket purchase is Sunday, February 28, or sooner if 400 tickets are sold.
A listing of auction and raffle items may be viewed at www.lubbocksci.org.
This event generates funds necessary for Lubbock SCI to continue supporting wildlife conservation, education and humanitarian projects. These projects include: scholarships at Texas Tech University and Sul Ross State University; donating essential equipment to Texas Parks and Wildlife officers; providing Safari Wish Hunts for disadvantaged or seriously ill youth and wounded veterans; and supporting the Texas Bighorn Society and Texas Boys Ranch in Lubbock.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best regards,
Mark Morton
