2010 SCI Banquet
(updated 02-26-2010)

**** PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE  ****

ABOUT OUR HUNTS  & TRIPS

All of the hunts and trips offered at our banquet are top-quality. They are the same packages that you would buy directly from the outfitters that have donated them. One might ask, “Why would they donate a first class hunt?” There are several reasons such as:  to gain exposure to prospective clients; to offer a hunt that can be upgraded with additional days and/or animals; but the main reason is to support SCI. They know that SCI is the single most powerful advocate for wildlife conservation and the preservation of sport hunting in the world today. Most of these trips are with outfitters with whom our chapter members have personal experience.  Those that we do not have personal experience with, come recommended by members of other SCI chapters. The values shown for these hunts are the actual retail cost if you booked directly with the outfitter. In case you are wondering what it costs to fly to Argentina or Africa; the price varies with the season and other factors such as fluctuating fuel costs; but generally would run from $1500 to $2000 round trip. We show you the values of these hunts so you will know how much you can pay for the trip without paying more than retail price. We offer this information so you may purchase these offerings with confidence in their quality and value.

Testimonial: “We decided to turn it into a family trip and took our children along with six of our grandchildren. The grandchildren ages were from seven years to 14 years, the adults from 36 to 60. It was a great time for all. This rafting company is top notch. The guides were accommodating and the food was plentiful and delicious. The guides went the extra mile and even planned a birthday celebration for one on the grandchildren. The river and scenery on this trip were amazing. The river had smooth floating areas as well as four and five class white water. We were able to swim, raft, and canoe. We would recommend this trip to anyone who loves the outdoors and adventure. It was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Thank you for presenting such a terrific opportunity at the banquet.” 2009 auction winners Rod and Ama McDermid

Let Safrique provide you with the safari experience of a lifetime.
VALUE - $14500

NASCAR driver Wally Dallenbach was the first client to hunt this exclusive area. His hunt was featured on Dave Watson’s Mathews Outdoors show on the Outdoor Channel in 2009. Wally, a veteran of 7 safaris to Zimbabwe, is already booked for a return trip and had this to say, “This is a true HUNTERS HUNT; you have to work for the game, but the trophy quality is worth it. I took a beautiful lion, sable, zebra and warthog. There’s nothing like Africa; and to be able to hunt in an area that has never been commercially hunted in the past, I thought would be "to good to be true." The results speak for themselves though; and I highly recommend this hunt to anyone looking for not only dangerous and plains game, but the experience of a lifetime.”

“Beauties And The Beasts” giclee
John Banovich

www.johnbanovich.com

"Viewing from lake Magadi in NgoroNgoro Crater when the flamingoes are in full concert is an absolutely magnificent sight. The greater and lesser flamingoes flock in by the thousands. The lesser (the pink and smaller of the two) are exclusive to soda lakes and feed on the algae while the greater (tall and white) feed on crustaceans. The chorus of thousands of flamingos together sounds very much like a rumbling engine in the distance. The hippos lay at the edge of the water right where a fresh water stream seeps into the lake, making it the perfect place to sun themselves and the flamingos to enjoy bathing while the black- winged stilts feed along the shore."
